Sunscreen for babies.... really?

Posted on August 19, 2015 by Polly Glasse | 0 comments

I was clicking through big name brands of sunscreen. I came across this one for babies.  Sounds like it's not so good for anyone, much less a baby. Please read your labels. Do not be fooled by terms such as "all natural, natural botanicals, naturally derived," etc. This has no guarantee that the product you are purchasing is actually natural as you think it is or should be. The first ingredient in this formulation is Retinyl Palmitate. The FDA did a year-long study a short while ago. They found this ingredient in 40% of the sunscreens on the market. They determined this ingredient actually caused skin cancer tumors.  Really... in a sunscreen for babies, much less?  This is also a very common ingredient in anti-aging products for women.
